Our Philosophy

African Food Revolution (AFR) is an Africa-based NGO focused on revitalizing traditional food systems in rural villages. AFR promotes the production and consumption of indigenous foods, combining scientific expertise with a forward-thinking approach to create sustainable, environmentally-friendly African villages. Our work spans animal husbandry, indigenous crops, wildlife conservation, and cultural diversity, all guided by the spirit of UBUNTU.

Rural entrepreneurship

AFR has the potential to transform food production in marginalized areas, alleviate poverty, and create jobs. Despite challenges in local agri-food chains, AFR aims to revolutionize the sector through technology, innovation, and scientific expertise. Indigenous and traditional foods, like Teff, are increasingly gaining recognition in mainstream cuisine, highlighting the opportunity to develop a thriving industry around African food systems.
